The Heat of the Summer!

Here it is July in Oklahoma, and it is HOT!

I am headed to Lebanon, Missouri the weekend of July 9th for Fiber-U. There will be classes and vendors all weekend and the gathering of fiber enthusiasts. This is the first year I will have a vendor booth at Fiber-U and I am excited.

At the end of the month I am headed to Kellyville, Oklahoma, for Fiber Christmas in July the weekend of July 30th. I bought my first spinning wheel the first time I went to Fiber Christmas in July. I have taken classes and shopped at the vendor booths for several years, but again, this is the first year I will have a vendor booth at Fiber Christmas in July.

I had thought very seriously about moving the mill and yarn store to a larger building to give us more space for the mill, add inventory to the yarn store, and to offer classes. Unfortunately, with the rising costs of everything lately, the cost to upgrade the plumbing and electrical to accommodate the needs of the equipment was beyond my comfort level. So we will continue on at our current location and hope that something will open up again when prices have come down or I have more funds to do the needed work.

I will start to carry Berroco yarns in August! Stop by to see what is new on the shelves next month!

Here’s to a summer of fiber-fun!
